Three Hearts Farm and Starbound Nigerian Dwarfs

Raising quality ADGA Nigerian Dwarfs, Lamanchas and MDGA Miniature Lamanchas.

OUR STORY

Our adventure started in 2017 while attending a Miniature Dairy Goat Show in Floyd, VA. Zack ran into his teacher, Ed Kinser, from Enchanted Hill Farm, and he asked if our daughter would like to show a goat in the pee-wee showmanship. That moment sparked an interest in goats in our daughter and now in our entire family. We started with one Nigerian Dwarf, then added a Boer, and rounded it out with our first bred Miniature Lamancha.

We now enjoy showing at 4-H, ADGA, and MDGA shows with our expanded herd of Nigerian Dwarfs, Lamanchas, and Miniature Lamanchas. In 2019 we expanded our goat experience by adding Linear Appraisals. In 2022 we participated in our first adventure into milk testing. We learned a lot, qualified many goats for milk stars, and look forward to future milk testing.

In 2024 Aliza started her own herd name, Starbound Nigerian Dwarfs. In her first year crop the following doe kids earned a restricted leg: Starbound CA Miss Americana (ND), Starbound SE Ivy (ND), and Starbound PH Lavender Haze (lamancha doe kid). Additionally, Starbound DD Moonpie earned a reserve championship in the open show and a champion ribbon (no leg) in the youth ADGA show. Aliza is off to a great start in producing the next generations of champions.

Our goal is to have fun as a family while producing quality goats to share with others.

We test yearly for CAE, Johne's, and periodically for CL (clean herd).
